netFIELD Device is part of the comprehensive netFIELD product family and provides an optimized technology platform and software ecosystem for IO-Link Devices with Real-Time Ethernet. It is optimized for brand labeling with the choices between chipset or preloaded module for own designs up to a ready-to-use IP67 device.
netFIELD Device connects IO-Link sensors – wired or wireless – with demanding Real-Time Ethernet networks and offers an integrated OPC UA server for configuration and diagnostics, using IO-Link companion profile.
Via the integrated webserver, important functionalities like firmware download, authentication and IO-Link port configuration are possible. As part of the technology platform Hilscher combines established netX 90 technology with Hilscher’s new netIOL chip – an intelligent IO-Link transceiver with additional diagnostics features to detect plant errors, e.g. voltages and currents from each IO-Link pin, on-chip temperature and supply voltage. In addition, for digital inputs a gradually adjustable input filter for 3, 15, 20ms can be used.
With netFIELD Device technology platform, customers profit from the entire Hilscher ecosystem with regular pre-qualified firmware updates, pre-certified protocol stacks and optional workshops and software modifications.
